Somehow Cynthia Nixon is a bit of a surprise too - maybe that makes me a slacker SatC fan.

You must not ever get on ohnotheydidnt! ;) Or read "Page Six." She dumped her husband (or was he just the father of her kids?) for this very plain, older woman whom everyone thought might be her mother! Scandalous!

Interesting! I do visit ONTD when I'm in need of some gossip, but I try not to too often because I easily get stuck on it for way too long. :)

Is that Ian in your icon?

Oh, ONTD is a total time sinkhole! Agreed. I've seen enough Britney posts and Jake Gyllenhaal shopping/jogging/walking to last me a lifetime! (Nothing against Jake!)

And yep, that's Ian! (Shares some Christian love with ya.)

I was surprised by most of the list, Saffron, seriously, no idea at all! or Bryan Singer either.

Oh, Bryan Singer has been out for a while! There were rumors that Kevin Spacey stole his boyfriend on the set of The Usual Suspects, (although of course, Kevin remains completely in the closet, like that's fooling anyone!), and of course rumors surrounding Brandon Routh and Bryan during the filming of Superman Returns. Who knows? And then of course, X-Men is a very good "coming out" allegory. ;)

Damn, I didn't know that, seriously. But Kevin, really Kevin that whole story when he got "mugged" walking your dog and all they stole was your cell phone..seriously, Your a freakin' actor, can't you come up with a better story??!

Damn, I hardly knew that any of these people were gay. I need to read more magazines/gossip columns, I guess

Hee! It's all anyone talks about in Hollywood, I think, who's really gay? LOL. A lot of it is wishful thinking (like the LOTR boys) but there are a lot of people who *could* come out if they chose.

Saffron is a surprise to me too. I only suspected Gedde Wattanabe from "Sixteen Candles" because I saw him at a Rufus Wainwright concert and he was with another older actor (probably just friends).

Saffron is quite hot! ;) Although she hasn't done much lately, has she? And hey, Rufus and Reese went to that Rufus show... does that make him gay? :) I've heard so many mixed rumors on the guy, I don't know what to believe, except of course it's his business. I know the gays would LOVE to claim him, though!

Oops, I mean JAKE and Reese went to that concert. And of course, the Internet won't be satisfied until Jake comes out, ha!

I didn't know Derek Jacobi was out. Not particularly surprised though. ;) And I didn't know Sulu was gay!

(I always get Saffron Burrows the actress confused with Saffron from the dodgy UK band Republica who I'm sure used the surname Burrows. Sad but true.)

Hee, Derek Jacobi and Judi Dench were separated at birth, I swear! :) I knew about Sulu. He came out fairly recently and is how grand marshaling pride parades and such. The beloved, groundbreaking icon of nerds, gays and Asians everywhere!

And Saffron Burrows was the chick in Deep Blue Sea and this really dreadfully pretentious flick called The Loss of Sexual Innocence. Oh, and the selfish, man-stealing tart from Circle of Friends! And lots more.

Heh, I obviously keep up with this kind of thing, cuz hardly any of those surprised me. It's kinda sad that there's so few, because you know that there are many, many more who are closeted. It's clear that being involved behind the camera, or in theater, or in England is more gay-friendly. You really have to give credit to actors - or anyone - who comes out. They risk a lot.

I knew most of them. A few of the actresses surprised me but the actors and directors, not so much. And agreed, it's much easier in England, it seems. Oh, Americans and their prudishness! It really shouldn't matter at all, should it, as long as YOU are not sleeping with someone, what do you care who they sleep with? I understand why people don't come out and I'm always glad when more people come out. Still no handsome leading men (apart from John Barrowman, and he's on British TV!) Hee, remember when Out (or the Advocate) asked Foxy about the possibility of a Jack/Sawyer hookup? I love that he did an interview with them!
