Thank you for the question about the Oceanic 6. I remembered Jack and Kate talking at the end of last season but I couldn't remember if they mentioned Sawyer getting off the island or if that was my imagination.

As far as I know, no one's mentioned Sawyer being back in the real world in the post-island future. I would hope so, however!

This was good, but oh so gloomy...
and noooo, not another separation!

I'm already anxiously waiting for next week.

btw, shouldn't it have been a two-hour premiere? They counted the clip show, didn't they? *cough*cheatingbastards*cough*

It's a bit hard to believe, so long with nothing and now, a new ep every week! Well, for 8 weeks, at least.

And yeah, they always do that, cheat it to two hours with a lameass "special" clip show.

I'm so totally unspoiled that, beforehand, I didn't know it was a Hurley ep, but I sure as hell knew that was his Camaro! And when Hurley screamed out "I'm one of the Oceanic 6!", I was totally shocked. Now I'm wondering about who the other 3 are. My guess? Sun, Jin, Desmond.

Great poll!

I totally didn't remember that he had a Camaro!

I don't know who the other three are but I wouldn't put my money on Jin and Sun both making it out together, not sure why, just the rules of TV writing, I suppose.

While I liked it, I wasn't so OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST EVER..actually I found it boring in few parts..but I loved Charlie's reappearance, Hurley totally breaking up about his death, Jack acting a little loopy again, Sawyer's independence and Naomi, who apparently can get stabbed with a big ass knife and still climb a tree and ambush someone--okay, it wasn't my favorite part, but sort of a reminder that it was infact, LOST.

And Jack looking all shades of hot.

I'm going with my the island is under a temporal rift theory, that could explain the "dead" sightings and sort of other dimension stuff too..one where Hurley can see dead people..off the island. *smile*

We can chalk Naomi and Locke's amazing recoveries to some island mojo or whatever, I suppose! Eh. I'd be glad to see the last of Locke. Why even bother shooting him if it didn't take?

And Jack did indeed look hot!

That Desmond "Flashes" ep seemed to suggest some kind of time travel, or else they really are all nuts. Or, hey, who knows?

Yay! New LOST poll :) I like these as much as (or more than) the actual show sometimes lol.

Just to reassure you, I am a big spoiler ho, but I have not run across the names of the other 3 "Oceanic 6" people.

Not enough screen time for Sawyer, obviously.

I clicked something else for the last question...but honestly, I don't see that many movies in the theater (3 kids ya know) so I probably won't go see anything that I saw ads for last night.

Did you watch Eli Stone?

Aww, yay! Good to be doing the polls again! :) Well, for now, anyway.

I did not watch Eli Stone. I really don't see how it appeals to Lost fans, other than having bizarre hallucinations. No hotties. No life or death situation. No mind-bending mysteries ... *shrugs*

Nice to see the polls again! It was a fantastic episode, not a boring moment in it. And there were all these little things that might be big things and new questions, which were actually more interesting than annoying. If the other episodes are this good, it'll be a much less stressful, enjoyable season for everyone.

Of course, my favorite moment (Which wasn't up there) was at the end when Jack and Hurley cracked all the beard jokes. Someone obviously saw the fans talking about the beardwig and tossed that in there for us ;-)

Agreed. The backstories have gotten awfully dull for the most part, so this was a lot of "Ooh, and then what happens?" It's great to feel engaged and intrigued by Lost again!

And I should have put the beard joke in there! That was an awesome moment!

"Not enough screen time for _____ (fill in the blank)"

CHARLIE. CUZ HE'S DEAD. ;_;

And I knew who was driving the car as soon as I saw Hurley's chubby hands. =P Plus, that's the car he and his dad was fixing up, yes? Actually, my initial reaction was, "...Dukes of Hazzard?"

I would definitely be Team Whatever Sayid Is On, for reasons in my icon. I love Jack, but he does have a tendency to be stubborn and batshit crazy sometimes.

I totally didn't remember seeing that car before. Guess I'm in the minority there!

And go, Sayid! ILU Jack, but he does have a tendency to jump in without thinking things through.

Shutting up now!

And about the big mystery-I do wonder what they're hiding! And it doesn't look good for other Losties. Also even bigger mystery, that was CHRISTIAN in Jacob's cabin!!!Lost has my attention again:)

And not enough Sawyer!

I'm a little vexed at myself that all my spoiler-whoring has *not* yet uncovered who exactly the Oceanic 6 are. *pouts* But I see that Deej and Elle know so I'll go pester them. ;)

Besides that, not being a big Charlie fan I'm a little surprised that I squeed at his posthumous return, but it was a great moment. And Sawyer made me so proud. Of course I don't like the separation, but I think what both Jack and Sawyer did was in-character -- Jack with his single-minded obsession with getting his people rescued, Sawyer with his con man's watchful, skeptical nature. And since I *don't* think that Sawyer is one of the Oceanic 6, and we already know that at some point in the future Jack is desperate to get back (to his boyfriend, of course!), I've got no real complaints.

I do not know if Sawyer is one of the Oceanic Six (and I don't wanna!) but given their penchant for splitting our boys up, the odds aren't good. :-( Of course, maybe Jack *does* just want to get back to his boyfriend!

I'm so happy to have enjoyed the ep. It's an entirely separate thing from my enjoyment of fic, fandom and my flist, of course! :)

Soo, uhm.

It was even better than I hoped. I knew it was Hurley's but I didn't expect Jack to show up first and to be, uhm, well, okay, that hot. Because he was totally hot. Sawyer trying to comfort Hurley was the best thing ever with the rifle exchange and Charlie reappearing. I know who the Oceanic 6 are so I didn't vote and I won't speak ;) Anyway, I don't think Hurley's too crazy since S3 FF Jack was far worse and I'd go wherever Desmond goes. Which means with Sayid. Okay, I'm on team Jack. I actually was convinced he went with Locke, then watched it again and found out I was wrong.. The walkie-talkie hug was.. well, I mean, I should have expected it. And I'll probably see Vantage Point but I didn't get any ads 'cause I downloaded. Anyway if Dean was driving that car I'd have been even happier ;)

Jack was indeed smokin' hot! And I was pleasantly surprised by the ep, even if I'm a tad concerned about our boys being split up again!

I totally got it wrong who went with who, all I really noticed is where Sawyer went! *iz predictable*

I was so pleasantly surprised! I kind of gave up on the show last season, and even the finale, which I acknowledge was great, didn't excite me as much.

This however, had me at the edge of my seat the entire time.

Not enough Sawyer screentime, though. (but you could probably give him his own spin-off, and I would still think there was not enough Sawyer.)

They usually win me back with the finales and then bitterly disappoint me with the premieres -- not so in this case! I loved the finale and this ep too. Who knew? :)

And woo, Team Sawyer! (Hee, love your icon).

I liked it. Surprisingly. I don't trust them, at all, but I didn't hate myself for watching it, that's for sure. The Oceanic 6 thing is almost making me sick though. If Sawyer's not among them (or didn't stay back on the island, alive and well) I'm not so sure I can take finishing the show. So that worries me. A lot.

So I'm feeling like these flash forwards are a double-edged sword. I enjoy them, and the flashbacks were getting beyond played out, but I almost wish we didn't know who was off-island. (That is, if these are "true" representations of the future. I'm not totally convinced they are.)

And Dom didn't look good to me. I don't know if it was the haircut or weight loss or what, but he didn't look well. That made me kinda sad. As much as I wanted Charlie to go far, far away, Donkey, I don't want to see Dom look sickly by any means. Here's to hoping it was just makeup, as he was enjoying a little heroin in his heaven or whatnot. Heh.

As for the movies, I really want to see Vantage Point, I do believe. I think I first heard of it when they aired a trailer before Superbad and my *squee* at seeing Foxy was almost embarrassing. Heh.

Feb. 4th, 2008 01:07 am (UTC)
Not hating it is good but the trust comes back slowly, yes? I have no idea if Sawyer makes it off the island or what. I'm not convinced they won't "redeem" him by having him sacrifice his life to save someone else at some point but that's just something I've feared since S1. They must know how many fangirls would stop watching if they offed Sawyer!

Ahh, I don't know if the future can be altered. MINDBENDER! We shall see!

And awww, you didn't like the way Dom looked? I thought he looked hot, myself. I guess it was a bit of heroin chic. (I almost typed "heroic chic," which I suppose applies as well!)

And hee, can't wait to see Vantage Point! Great cast and I don't just mean Foxy!

How a mortally wounded Naomi could climb a tree for fuck's sake!

I would say she was wounded. I wouldn't say she was necessarily mortally wounded until we'd seen her shot, stabbed, garotted, bludgeoned, strangled, smothered, poisoned, dismembered, beheaded, drowned, burned, bear-eaten, Juliet-IVF'd, pushed off a cliff, sucked through a jet engine, autopsied, embalmed, buried, cremated, exhumed, re-embalmed and cremated, decapitated again, and left in a toolshed to die, just in case. Lost being what it is and all that.
