Album Covers Mood Theme

Yet another new mood theme! Taken from several of my favorite album covers (and a few that just happened to fit those hard-to-find moods!) Reflects my music collection, so there's a really fun variety, I think. Sadly, some band's album art did not lend itself well to moods (Led Zeppelin, I'm looking at you!)

Thanks, hon! It took me a lot longer than I thought it would! Man, it was tough to find some of these moods, LOL! And I regret I couldn't squeeze the Beastie Boys in there somewhere!

Yay! Enjoy, hon. And there's *one* Led Zeppelin in the extra moods but it didn't really seem to work. Your call, of course. Let me know if there's any problems installing it!

Hee, glad you like that! I came across those in my numerous "album cover" image searches and just loved 'em!

WOW. This is amazing. Bowie certainly is a man of many moods.

Thanks, hon! And you could definitely do an all-Bowie mood theme, couldn't you? (I've seen 'em out there, just never one I was in love with enough to use!)

It would be pretty easy [relatively speaking] to compile a Bowie mood theme, yeah. You've seen Bowie mood themes, out in the world?

I really love this - though I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know all of these. [Though - Peter Murphy!!!!]

I'm amusing myself with thoughts of a Gothic mood theme. :D

I did see a Bowie mood theme but now I can't remember where. Either at mood_mania or fandom_moods, I think!

And a lot of these are pretty obscure, I'll readily admit. I mostly made it for myself! And OMG, an all Goth mood theme would be great. Finding "giddy" and "jubilant" would be damn hard, tho! ;)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun putting it together. (My other idea was paintings, but this probably has more resonance for me, LOL.)

That's so cool! What an awesome idea. I wouldn't switch mood themes, but that's really impressive.

Thanks, hon! I really am happy with this one! (And of course, I love seeing the Naveen one in practice on a regular basis as well!)

Wow, that's so cool! I even know a fair whack of those album covers (which amazes me cos although I know a lot of music, I'm not up on recent stuff). I'm d/ling, thank you, but we'll wait and see if I a/ get time to install and b/ can actually make it work! Thanks! ;-)

Thanks! There's a lot of old school stuff in here and very little contemporary, fwiw. Since so few of us buy "albums" anymore, its' hard to think in terms of cover art for the most recent music I listen to!

Hope it works for you if you're inspired to use it! :)

I do find that amusing, cos I must be old school! I still buy albums! I'd so much rather have things on cd than on h/d and I don't have a modern music player (mp3 player or whatever)! I do have a lot of music stored on my comp, but it's so inconvenient to listen to (too much b/g stuff with my family around) so I tend to burn the best to listen to onto cds and play them in the bedroom or car!

But then, I am old! compared to a lot of people here! I bought my first album in 1979 when I was a teenager, and cassettes had only been around for a few years (it was vinyl though)!

It's such a pity to lose album art with people d/l'ing music so much more now... album art shrunk hugely when cd's came in and now it'll more or less disappear. I loved a lot of the brilliant stuff that was around in the 70's and 80's... ah well, such is life! No wonder an artist's look is so important to the youth of today! Anyway, rave on me!

Thanks again for this, I might get it working one day! *hugs* (and one good Jesus icon does deserve another! hee!)

This is amazing. The bitchy one made me laugh out loud and seeing This Mortal Coil made me squee.

I don't really use the mood function, but I'm tempted. Great work!

Thank you, hon! I wanted something that I (hopefully) wouldn't get tired of very soon. Hee, of course Morrissey had to be "bitchy." I do believe that man has more feuds going than some rappers, LOL. And oh my, those 4AD bands had such great covers, didn't they? I wanted to put some Cocteau Twins in there, but I figured it would be too hard to tell what they were, when cropped

Christ, this is fucking awesome! I may have to figure out this mood theme business!

I am going to stop editing this eleventy billion times, really, but I just looked at the full preview and DAMN. ow did you come up with this? It's brilliant.

Oh wow, thanks so much, hon! :) I first had the idea of doing one based on famous paintings but then I came across one mood theme already on those lines and I wasn't madly in love with it. And then this occurred to me and I knew I had to at least try it! I had a lot of fun (and some frustration ) putting it together! I think I've looked at nearly every album cover in the past 50 years, LOL! (Okay, not really, but it feels like it!)
