Supernatural

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a Supernatural ep. LOVED IT. Funny because they referenced the X-Files and I never did like that b&w monster ep that everyone raved about. Now, this ep? Nothing but love, love, love. And more love! It was nice to smile all the way through an SPN ep.

And of course we all knew it was Lucy the whole time -- but what was up with all the thirsty, thirsty witnesses? I thought they were going to explain that somehow -- is that a known shapeshifter exposure thing?

It was great! I love when they go outside of their normal format, and frankly, SPN does comedy just as well as they do their drama, so there was nothing to complain about here. ♥

I'm am SUCH a fan of old monster movies, so this was a laugh riot, as far as I was concerned! And you're right, they can knock it out of the park when they want to be funny. :)

Oh weird. I hadn't put it together that both witnesses were extremely thirsty, good catch. Loved the gag with the uber-tall beer stein though (I think my grandfather had one just like that).

That was just 100% fun. All the nods to the classic monster movies were so damn cheeky and adorable. :)

Yes! I laughed all the way through! :) And I think I've seen both the original monster movies *and* the Abbot & Costello send-ups!

I think the thirsty witnesses was probably just to distract from Lucy's lipstick blotting. (And "she" was doing that because...?)

I loved the HELL out of this episode. I just couldn't help it, I've seen too many of those movies for my own good. On the technical level I appreciated it a lot, but the plot? God. That was just fun and yeah, nothing but love.

I got that it was Lucy when he did the Mina/Harker parallel first. Then this Lucy came up again and I was like, wait a moment.

what was up with all the thirsty, thirsty witnesses? I thought they were going to explain that somehow -- is that a known shapeshifter exposure thing?

Guess it is?

Damn, it was just so, so funny! I especially loved how puzzled Dean and Sam were at first, LOL.

Hee, that's exactly what I said the minute it was over! No Cher, but SO much better than the X-Files one :)

Oh, it was so visually entertaining! I have a wee crush on Robert Singer now! (shhh)

YES! Ahh, thank you for confirming I'm not the only one who thinks so! I never got what the big deal with that ep was!

But this one? All around FUN.

It was just so fun and they didn't linger on any angst which was nice. I think the only slightly angsty thing was when Dean said how it was just a myth that werewolves grew hair and Sam was kinda like, "Yeah, it is," and he had this LOOK on his face and I might be over-analyzing but I swear he was thinking of Madison.

Well, usually I love me some angst and I don't always love the funny eps but this one was such a fun homage to all those old movies I couldn't help but love it!

And oh, right! I'd forgotten all about Madison. I STILL cannot believe they had to kill her off! It would never happen on a Joss Whedon show!

Oh my gosh, I cackled through the entire episode, especially the bar fight and 'Hiya Hansel!' 'SHUT. UP.'
So much fun.
And Jamie was awesome. I hope we see her again.
Actually I hope we get a Farscape type 3 parter where all the people the boys have saved come together to save them and/or fight in the oncoming Apocalypse.
It'll never happen but I want to see it.

Hee, it was just so much damn fun! :)

Never seen Farscape but that sounds kinda awesome. Sounds a bit like the ending of V for Vendetta as well!

It really was.
Farscape is made of amazing and halfway through the 2nd year, the main character, hot ass John Crichton (Ben Browder) is kidnapped so the gang sends out a distress call asking for help from anyone who might even remotely care and just about everyone that John had convinced them to actually help first before shooting in the face shows up all, 'Let's do this.' It was TEH AWESOME.
