Lost 'Last Supper' photo

Seen this promo pic? Locke is Jesus. And Jack is Doubting Thomas. Is Sayid Judas?

And hey, it's a Tuesday! (So I *can* use this icon).

The only thing that bugs me is that there are 14 people in the promo pic and 13 in the original. I understand they wanted to include everyone, but it messes up the grouping (which is important in the original). And none of them are really posing like the painting. I'm a huge dork though.

Technically, Sayid is Judas, but Sawyer should be between Sayid and Kate, not Kate and Locke. It's all about the groups of 3! Jack is Thomas, but in the original he is more confused.

They could easily have bumped that completely useless Ilana chick! Yeah, it doesn't quite match up, maybe that's part of why they went with everyone, so there wouldn't be a one to one match. Still, Locke as Jesus is so not right!

It just doesn't make sense to at least try a bit harder to make it look like the originals, because they know we are all going to try analyze it to death. Even more the Lost fandom is use to finding hidden messages/clues.

On second look, Sayid, Kate or Sawyer could all be Judas, anyone from the second group on the left.

True, they know we will totally overanalyze it. Such as the skulls under the table.

I really don't think there can be a one to one comparison to the painting, as the positions people are in aren't even similar.

Though I guess with Locke rising from the dead, he's the obvious choice for Jesus.

Although if Sayid turns out to be some kind of Judas figure, I'm just gonna throw up my hands and admit defeat.

BSG did a similar photo before their final season too, and I don't think it was any more relatable to the painting than this is.

Ahhh, I'd never seen this done for another show, although for a huge ensemble, it seems like a pretty obvious choice.

You could argue that he's already Judas, for shooting Ben as a child, I suppose. *shrugs* Or maybe Kate is the Judas. Now, that would be a twist! Or there's no Judas at all! If it's all about who's loyal to Locke, then I hope everyone betrays him. Frequently!

I wish I still had my "Jesus Christ is not weapon" icon, LOL.

Wait, does that make Sawyer the figure that's allegedly Mary Magdalene? *laughs, then contemplates the consequences...*

Tuesday is so wrong.

That's exactly what I was thinking, thank you.

*laughs hysterically, then runs to the bathroom to throw up*

Really, show? I mean, really?

Kate's actually the one in Judas' position, with her elbow on the table. Kind of makes more sense than Sayid, given Kate's inability to stay loyal to one person!

Ha, Kate as the ultimate Lost villain? It'll never happen, but it makes me smile.

Kate is more the Judas I think, since she's the only one leaning away (everyone but Judas is leaning in while he's the only one that pulls back in the original painting).

...I still like the BSG version of this better.
