Lost

Jack took the job. And he's now immortal? If Richard isn't dead, then bring on the Jack/Richard!

Wow, who knew I'd be cheering on Kate for demanding answers. (Although I'm w/e with the answers we're getting, at least someone is asking them! Instead of the usual Lost amnesia, oh, I don't need to know that, I'll just be over here staring off at the ocean, la la la)

And at least one good thing came out of last week's ep: I now really was happy to see Ben! And even Locke and Widmore. Although, seriously, if they hadn't had last week's episode and just left Jacob's statements and actions unexplained, I think that would have been a wiser use of the show's time, fwiw.

So, at the big concert: Jack will fall for Kate/somehow prove her innocence? Sawyer will go after all, and meet Juliet (clearly David's mom) and then go for coffee... and oh, I don't know... a mad gunman will appear and shoot everyone! (No, that's a different show's finale.)

I was happy to see Miles again, which kind of made me drift off at one point, off to zelda_zee's Sawyer/Juliet/Miles fic....

No matter what happens, we'll always have the fic! Unless the finale kills the internet for good, which it very well might. Seriously, will anyone be able to get online Sunday night?

And what was up with the bizarre voiceover on the promo for the finale? Who the hell was that?! These last few promos have been nuts. Leonard Cohen! Willy Wonka!

I hope Richard isn't dead, because that makes no sense. If Jack is left behind on the island (I'm not convinced he will be) I'd love it if he was stuck there with Richard, though chances are he'll have Locke or Ben to contend with instead. :/

It was indeed a relief to see the real characters again!

Aww, happy to hear my fic is a happy place!

That voiceover was seriously bizarre! It sounded like Linda Hunt's and Smokey's bastard love child or something! Creepy!

That would be a shitty exit for Richard but eh, I'm not expecting much from them at this point in that regard. And shooot, stuck on the island forever with Locke or Ben? Thanks for not giving the fangirls a friggin' bone! (Also, how incredibly depressing!)

Your fic is a very happy place!

I don't know why they can't just use the same voice they've been using this whole time. And the usual Michael Giacchino music. These bizarre promos are what... aimed at drawing the casual fan back in for the finale? They'll have no idea what's going on if they haven't watched lately!

I think we WILL kill the internet, actually. There were like 2000 posts in one hour at Ack Attack's ongoing Lost post. I've never in those six years watched Lost live, because I didn't know I could via the internet. Someone gave me a link and I tried tonight to see if it worked, so now I'm watching the finale live as well, OMG EXCITED BUT YET SO FUCKING SCARED. I DO NOT WANT THIS TO END!

FAKE TINA FEY BETTER BE DEAD.

The internet will explode like so much leaky old dynamite!!

I'm excited and yet dreading it as well. Gah, I'm going to be super emotional no matter what happens.

Did you see that blog where the person was desperately wishing Zoe dead? Hilarious! Done a la Edward Gorey's Gashlycrumb Tinies:

AHAHHAHa, that poem is amazing! <3

Yeah, me too. It's all so bittersweet. I mean, we've all been looking forward to seeing how this is all gonna add up and we've been plotting and theorizing and wondering what this all means, how this is gonna end and now the end is here and I wish it didn't have to end :( I mean, what the HELL am I gonna look forward to now?

I am going to watch it live though. Normally I don't get to download until the next day (living in EUrope and all), but I found a link that allows me to watch it online and I tried that past episode and it worked and omg. The thing is... If I wanna watch the Final Journey before the actual 2,5 hour long finale, I'll have to stay up until 5.30AM xD HAHAHA. Well, I think it's gonna be worth it.

Weird voiceover = Kate aged to 108. ;)

Ha! Man, if they break out the lame old age makeup and have Kate be 108, I will seriously throw my TV out the window!

The voice sounds like some talking portrait out of Harry Potter. Who makes these promos? Who approves them? At least the wonka one was scary.

It was nice to see real characters again, especially Miles. I used to hate Widmore but at least his is/was a human face to villainy.

I will so applaud Kate if she is having none of this black dress/concert shit and runs, runs away.

These promos are awful. And not at all Lost-like, if you ask me. ODD.

I will so applaud Kate if she is having none of this black dress/concert shit and runs, runs away.

Ha, well, she is born to run. But I don't think she'll get out of this one. Unless someone decides she's "not ready yet."

I loved the return of unpredictable Ben. I had to cheer a little when he said Charles didn't deserve to save his daughter. I'm still kind of hoping that Ben is biding his time to take out Smokey though, rather than going back to wholesale evil.

Totally not surprised that Jack took up the Jacob mantle. Everyone expected it. It only would have been shocking if Hurley or someone else took over. Still no explanation for the AU though...

So does this mean that Jack and Locke are forever trapped on the island, like Esau and Jacob? Or will they actually find a way to kill the guy who is already dead?

I'm actually pretty pleased. Jack and Locke have both had two of the most up and down arcs on the show, and we've seen them both at their best and worst. And I know now that we had to see Jack hit rock bottom for all of this to happen. I'm looking forward to watching the whole series again from start to finish to see how it all ties together.

Looking forward to and dreading Sunday... :(

That would be, imho, a HORRIBLE ending. Bleah. Fate worse than death for Jack. :-( But it wouldn't be a complete surprise, of course. I think I'd prefer the idea of Jack all alone.

Looking forward to and dreading Sunday... :(

Augh. Same here. I'm already completely emo...

Leonard Cohen? Wonka? I apparently need to pay more attention to the promos because I don't remember seeing either of these. LOL

You missed nothing but some very out-of-place promos! The Cohen one teased the triangle... not that much has happened on that front! I have no idea who's running the promo ship!

He may be dead, is this like Highlander where there can be only one sort of deals.

But you have to love Jack..he asks AFTER accepting the position..so how long will I have to do this for.

And if Jacob touched that water, that's a stream..will anyone who drinks from it be immortal too.

And, was I right all along..is Jack really the chosen one?

I'll be online on Sunday night, it's on early so I can get my Tudors/Henry Cavill fix right after.

Jack is the Chosen One, yes. That fits, but it makes me sad.

I won't be fit to do ANYTHING after the Lost finale, probably.

So after that first sentence (which, yeah, bring it!), I started off on a tangent wondering how Jack could trick Sawyer into drinking from the magical stream of immortality so they could spend eternity together. I'm hopeless, I know.

Although, seriously, if they hadn't had last week's episode and just left Jacob's statements and actions unexplained, I think that would have been a wiser use of the show's time,

I think the episode could probably have worked as it was, but not where they put it. And it didn't need to be all flashback - it could have intercut with whatever was happening on the island to the characters we really cared about.

And I'm sure we'll all crash the Internet and be bleary eyed and incoherent at work Monday morning. It will be awesome - a fitting end to a show that defined its own era of television history. Go out with a bang, crash the Internet.

However it ends, people will be talking about it for days.

That voice over was seriously scary. It woke me up. Lol.

And, may I ask, wtf is with all this jate/suliet? Where is it coming from? It's all over the place, and I've seen absolutely no on screen evidence for it. At all.

The episode was ok. Seemed like another lets shuffle the characters around to get them in the right spot.

The Suliet stems from the "let's go dutch" comment of Juliet's -- I think every Suliet fan is banking on that actually happening. And (I guess) if Sawyer is with Juliet, that leaves Jack and Kate single in the sideways world and thus, fated to be together? There's been a lot more Skate in the sideways world, of course, so far. But Sawyer can't end up with all the women, can he? (Ha, now there's a finale: Sawyer waltzes out of the concert with Juliet, Kate and Charlotte! And oh, what the hell, Shannon!)

ETA: Seemed like another lets shuffle the characters around to get them in the right spot.

Agreed.

Lol, oh good lord. All that suliet stuff just from one line? Lmao. They made that ambiguous enough it could be anyone, or no one.

I just got the finale spoilers and ... Sawyer runs off with Vincent! OMG!
