sorry about that

so these answers make sense...I'd rather have Sawyer flashbacks later, when they're more pertinant to the story and his evolution. I still think Adrift had to be Michael's.

I don't get why ppl. don't like Charlie flashbacks...they're pry my fav, after, well, actually, after Sawyer and Claire and Hurley (two of my fav flashbacks...I want more on them!). Then Maybe Charlie and Sun/Jin, then Jack & Kate. Oh, and of course, tons of Locke flashbacks! It could be that I've done some drugs and sympathize w/ him...I even sorta want him to crack open that statue. I sure as hell would! Maybe even mix some in Jack's porridge.

Overall, I have liked the episodes, but I'm worried they're giving me too much info to work with. I'd actually like less answers.

And as for saying I'd kill off Sayid...it's only because I believe Shannon needs to be completely broken to find the strength w/ in her. Resolve her issues about being so dependent.

Well, but Michael's backstory told us nothing new (apparently - I fast forwarded through it as much as I could). It was just soooo boring. I mean, rehashing the custody dispute again? Bleah.

Charlie's backstories are my 2nd least fave because we also didn't learn much new. We'd already had some Charlie backstory in the pilot, so the fact that he was a druggie rock star was old news by the time of The Moth. And the metaphors in that were just so clunky and obvious. Just bad writing all around. I also thought, on the island, that Sawyer was out of character in that ep. Definitely one of my least fave episodes. And then in Homecoming, his backstory had NOTHING to do with what was going on on the island. Every second spent on his backstory was just a complete waste of time and it looked like the cut out some very interesting scenes to squeeze in more backstory, so I bear a grudge there. And then he was the fourth castaway to also be running cons? Eh. Just didn't work for me at all. I have nothing against Dom but Charlie can be so annoying at times. He's more useless than Shannon and Boone -- put together!

Anyway - that's why I don't like Charlie backstories.

I'm not a big Sayid fan but Shannon could become independent without him having to die! But I don't like their romance - it's made them both far less interesting.

Oh, def. not loving the rehash of Michael...and I don't really remember Sawyer in Moth (such a bad fan I am)...aww poor Charlie! He's so cuddly & cute and not a help, I know, but he & claire...I'm a sap for Keebler Elf people xD

Not a S/S shipper here either...he was just the best choice above. I don't want anyone to die! I could see Shannon kicking it next, though, as much as I'd hate it to happen. Or Jin...after he's reunited w/ the wife of course.

Yeah, I'm not so much about the cutesy. ;-D At the end of Exodus I was clinging to the entire cast and begging them not to kill anyone. Now, though, I could say goodbye to a few folks and not miss them much - or even at all.

I'm not a big fan of the Michael flashback, and while yeah, this set of flashbacks didn't give us anything "new", it did show that Michael didn't just hang up his gloves and give up the kid. The last set made it look like his bitca baby-mama came in, said, "Give him up," and he went, "Er, ok." These flashbacks showed him fighting for the kid, at least a little.

And I LOVE Sawyer, but I never think there were "Sawyer flashbacks" for this episode. I think they're yanking our collective chains with false spoilers.

Hmm, yeah, when it comes to Michael and his custody battles, consider my interest very low from the beginning. Certainly not enough to sustain one episode, let alone TWO. I already gathered Susan was a first-class bitca.

Ah, I hadn't thought about the Sawyer/Michael backstory switch being a foiler. But the fact that Josh alone was late to the DVD release party indicates that he had more filming to do than Harold. He didn't have any solo scenes, apart from Harold in 'Adrift,' so I figured he was filming more Sawyer flashbacks. Unless they were filming a different episode then. Hmm. I guess Kristin at E! has been wrong before.

But really, i think it makes more sense to lead with your strongest, most interesting characters and leave the more boring characters til later in the season, to avoid driving away all your newly acquired viewers! But hey, then again I'm just a Jack/Sawyer fangirl, as you all know! And the only times I've liked Michael at all were once he started to build the raft. He was just the most one-note character all season long (apart from the golf game, I guess.) I really can't see why an actor of Harold Perrineau's caliber would agree to play such a boring guy! And one who doesn't get featured that much.

I have issues where I basically wanted to take a red pen to the whole script that couldn't have bene fixed just by switching flashbacks. If the whole episode had been filmed with the Raftaways..okay, then we could have Michael flashbacks if they had been planned from the first place. The Sawyer cues tick me off because they're just so damned lazy. They tried to tell two stories at once and it fell down and died and just kind of kicked around in weak little circles.

Much as Charlie and Claire bore me, I think they both have one or two storylines in them based upon that heroin (admittedly, mostly Charlie). I don't understand why Jin is alive, though. His entire story revolved around getting that raft off the island, and he did. Guilt is his only storyline left.

Oh yeah - like the whole 'You never cared for anyone' moment. Damn, that would have been so much better as a cue for a Sawyer flashback. *sigh*

But Sawyer remains about 100 times more complex than Michael. I SERIOUSLY wonder why Harold Perrineau, who I like a lot and could seemingly get any job he wanted, signed on to such a lame, one-note character. He must be as tired of Michael as we are. Urgh. They seemed to have turned him around by the time Exodus aired but then we get THIS crap and there you go, blinding hate. And I think a horrible way to sabotage the show that was so strong out of the gate, at least ratings wise. I mean who, outside of Harold's family, cares about Michael? Seriously? (OK, a few people in my flist but still...)

So for the third week in a row, I'm saying 'OK, next week is the real event."
As happy as I was to see Wounded!Hero!Sawyer, we wuz robbed. And so was Josh.

I bear no ill will toward Jin but he doesn't seem to serve much function anymore, you're right. But I'd much rather have him around than Michael, despite the necessity of someone driving the search for Walt. *sigh*

Charlie and Claire and baby = severe nausea here. They've found the human equivalent of peanut butter. :-/

They've all had their moments when I *didn't* hate them but urgh, lots where I have too. It'll be OK in the end. We won't let them ruin our show with their sucky backstories!! ;-D

Ah we can akways just will them dead or write out very painful deaths in fan fiction *evil laugh* or um we can just be normal and sane, but thats overrated. Lets just hope we get the damn Sawyer ep before one of them gets another ep!

Well, I chose Charlie to die from the list...because his junkie bullshit is on my nerves. But I wanted to go on record saying that if I could really choose...I'd ax Jack.

Ha, I know! But they're my polls so I rigged them! ;-D I also figured few would want to see Sawyer or Hurley go and Locke is so damn integral to the show! And oddly enough, I prefer Charlie as a junkie than just being a cute papa stand-in or guy with annoying self esteem issues or whatever was going on in 'Homecoming.'
