Shaun of the Dead

Overcame my deep-seated fear of zombies to rent "Shaun of the Dead" tonight. Hysterically funny. The bit where they're throwing records and trying to decide which ones to save? BWAHA! Plus, Shaun has great taste in music. I agree - save the Stone Roses, throw the Dire Straits - and OMG - did you throw "Blue Monday?" NOOOO! ;D

I was inspired to make a few icons. Teaser:

Oh yeah, I was laughing out loud and I don't usually. But this really did it for me, for the most part. The end gets a bit gory but still very, very funny overall.

I love that movie! It's in my top five zombie movies ever. Even people who don't really enjoy zombies seem to like this because of the humor.

The scene in the bar where Queen comes on is still one of my favorite parts.

Hee. The scariest movie I've ever seen is "Night of the Living Dead" and zombie movies literally have me checking doors and windows after I see them, so I usually skip 'em. But I do love this one from the '40s that's very atmospheric and low-key despite having the lurid title of "I Walked With a Zombie." It's just out on DVD and I wants it! ;-D

Yeah, the whole Queen blaring forth on the jukebox was hysterical. It got a bit gorier than I was expecting but still damn funny.

Awww, thanks! It really hit my funny bone just right. British humor usually does.

Yes, gross but well within the realm of teh funny still. I love how oblivious he is the morning of "Z Day" and how long it takes him to clue in.

Oooh, and I love *your* icon. Oh, you have to see the whole thing. The beginning is almost the best part, as he blathers through his day as usual and doesn't realize that everyone him has turned into a zombie!

That movie totally rocked...I watched it with every commentary, with captions not to miss any jokes, backwards, forwards...LOVE the DJing scene...YEEEEAAAH BOY! Zombie flicks are the only horror movies I can watch for some reason...ever since my friend took me to see Resident Evil and neglected to tell me it was about zombies. You'd enjoy it b/c b/c Michelle R? Die Ana Die *wink*
