No Naked Jake for Us!

My day started out incredibly sucky and then vastly improved. Leaving the house is often a good idea. ;-)

Some news items I found interesting:

Tom Ford "fluffs" Jake Gyllenhaal for VF shoot. Plus, Ford wanted Jake to pose nude? On the cover? With him? Hmmm.

Jake is godfather to Heath and Michelle's baby girl? So then the "George Clooney should win" comment seems even odder!

Street named after Peter Jennings.

Grey's Anatomy outpaces Desperate Housewives in ratings. It's only fair. ;-D

Also, happy birthday (although it's over by now!) to liianna.

"The idea was to have Tom between a guy and a girl, and he wanted Jake Gyllenhaal," says a snitch.

For some reason, if I ever saw naked Jake next to Tom Ford, I'll want to take the chopsticks in my kitchen drawer and poke my own eyes out. *puke* But I did enjoy the "fluffing".....heheheh, I love porn references.

And if Jake's Matilda's godfather, why wouldn't Heath want to pose with him either? Such an odd odd man.

It's better this way, LOL. ;-D

And yeah, I'll never understand Heath.

TEAM JAKE!

The way I heard it, the question was which award, between the directing award and the acting award, did Heath think George Clooney should win? Which left him with very few options in terms of scandalous reponses. The problem is, he picked one, instead of going the "I'd rather not answer this question" route.

Well, he was put on the spot, you're right, but he should have just not given an answer. He had a choice between dissing Ang Lee, Diana Ossana & Larry McMurtry and Jake. That he chose Jake, who's presumably one of his best friends, still strikes me as odd.

I need to remind myself not to read the ONTD comments.

GODFATHER. ♥ Just more proof that they have a wicked complicated relationship that RPS authors (such as yourself) can explore! Or, that Heath has no friends.

Hell yes, Grey's Anatomy, second week in a row!

Yes, RPS writers can take that and run with it. *And* try to explain Heath's behavior! LOL. And I've never written Jake/Heath, heh.

And so glad GA is doing well. It really is the better show.

See on Entertainment Tonight someone asked him why Jake didn't have his shirt off, and he said that he felt a little funny asking him to.

Yep, Jake is the Godfather of Heath's baby..but am I surprised at what he said, nope, something about Heath I never liked anyway..I love his performance in the movie, but still...and yep, I do think that was a foolish thing to say about someone that you not only worked with but thought enough of to make him the godfather of your child.

I don't really get Heath. I think he's really uncomfortable in the spotlight but you can only use that excuse so often!

And we've seen Jake without his shirt before -- and without his pants, hello Jarhead! -- but oh well, LOL.

Yay for Grey's! It's not for me, but it's still a damned well-written and acted show.

(I admit it. For all that I like bad boys, I would be a happy, happy girl if I could have a George.)

GA is quite addictive. I swore I'd never watch another doctor show but here I am, LOL.
And awww. George is sweet but I can't ever imagine sleeping with him!

Argh. That cover with naked Scarlett Johannsen and Keira Knightly alongside clothed Tom Ford has done nothing but frustrate me. Not because I want to see Tom Ford naked, but when will the media realize that girls like to see naked guys!?! too and can't that be as important as what most guys want??

Sorry...ranted a little.

I know. Even if he's gay, it's still really tasteless. And they just looked like mannequins - it's not even sexy! Someone at ONTD posted an article from Salon.com criticizing the whole magazine's photo shoot - how all the women are so passive. And Reese Witherspoon is clothed but modeled as a little girl. It's creepy!

I hate our double standard where women can be naked and men can't. Sucks! Thank god for Ewan McGregor, eh? (Even if he hasn't gotten naked in a while that I know of.)

I found the Salon article. Well said. And I'm a VF subscriber, but now they've pissed me off! (I had a feeling it would only be a matter of time before that happened.)

Edgy doesn't always equal cool. I'm all for nudity, but those shots were very creepy, for the most part.

That Salon.com article had some good points.

Oh dear God! O__O That was literally the cheesiest thing I've ever seen in my life. I sat there with this frozen, horrified grin on my face. *is horribly embarrassed for everyone involved*

And no, Dulcie denies any involvement, LOL!
