Darn, where's my "only if it is as cracktastic as it *could* be".

Heh. I do hear audiences are cracking up throughout. I just really hope it fails and TC's career tanks. But look at Britney & Wacko Jacko. The public loves a train wreck.

MI3: Damn you, Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

On songs: I loves me some Jeff Buckley, but seriously. Give it a rest.

On pairings: Libby, more than any other character, has come to embody everything that drives me insane about that show and its writing of women. Even more than Kate did last year. At least she's turned around and gotten devious.

Did you read that interview with Damon where he talked about Libby's"function" being to "be Hurley's love interest." *vomits* Maybe that's fine for a show like The OC or Everwood, but Lost? *sighs heavily* And he admitted they were ramping up the Liibby/Hurley because they've lost the ubercute that is C&C. *bleah*

The rising level of sap on this show (those damn music montages are back, without any ironic counterpoint anymore) is just - GAH! Make it stop!

In repsonse to the last question.

I WANT TO CLAW MY EYES OUT AT ANA/ANYONE.
=]

& Jack &Kate is a little too sweet for me. *gags*

The only pairings I like are:
J/S(kinda)
S/K[my original ship/OTP.]
R/B[cute but annoying]
L/H[its ok...]

I WANT TO CLAW MY EYES OUT AT ANA/ANYONE.

Couldn't agree more. I'll turn off my TV and may never turn Lost back on again if they go *there.* Although Libby/Hurley isn't anything I think anyone seriously wants to see, it's the least angry-making, definitely. And awww, Skate was my original OTP too.

The placenta..I heard that this morning, there is something seriously wrong with that man if that is true..actually there already is something wrong with him, but that really goes to another dimension of strange.

And the pairings..really any combination of Ana with anyone makes me want to claw eyes out..and because I'm really not a fan of Kate's either, throw her into that as well.

I think he was just joking, but WHY EVEN MAKE A JOKE ABOUT IT? Who the fuck makes jokes like that? That is, if there's even a real baby and a real placenta instead of just a pillow!

Ana/anyone = me not watching anymore. NOOOOOO. And Kate can be annoying (and damned inconsistent) but hey, she and Sawyer have great chemistry. Then again, as someone once said, Josh has chemistry with a rock. ;-)

One word: rental, LOL. Have you seen that faux M:I 3 trailer on Youtube.com that has footage from Capote in it? And Ethan Hunt's secret is that he's, duh, into guys.

You mentioning the whole Josh thing makes me want to go off into a rant in my LJ. And I have no idea what the Evi bunny ears thing is.

I had to check all the pairing options on the last question, which made me realize I have a serious problem if every het pairing squicks me. At some point, somebody is going to hook up on the show and I am going to have to practice some serious relaxation techniques to be okay with it!

Well, I'd still like some Skate! ;-) That's really my only het pairing on the island. I like Jack/Kate *in theory* but the way they've written it can be so damn irritating. Part of it is just that "delayed fuck" thing they have to do on TV but in real life, I think both the boys would have long ago given up on Kate!

And tell me about it! Unless if any of those pairings include Ana, I'm gone, daddy gone! And then running to the store for the brain bleach!

Are you kidding? I wish I could take back the money I spent on War of the Worlds. Tom Crazypants won't be getting anything from me.

Evangline Lilly, bunny ear afficionado

*points to icon* I think she's quite adorable. :D

I only rented WotW and still regretted it. Total waste of time and money. And I had liked Minority Report!

And Evie is cute but in need of serious, serious wardrobe help to find clothes that flatter her. The bunny ears get a free pass though. ;)

Those 9-11 movies gives me the creeps. Am I alone here?

On a completely different topic: I remember going to see MI:2 in the theaters and everyone (I mean, seriously, EVERYONE!) in there was laughing throughout the entire movie. It was like the stupidest script ever and nothing made any sense. And why so many pigeons???? John Woo, you need to get another motif. Geez.

Apr. 19th, 2006 01:20 am (UTC)
Oh god, no, you're not alone! I get waaaay too emotional when there's any news coverage of that day (and I was right here in LA) so I can only imagine what it must be like for people who were there or who lost a loved one. Maybe some people are clamoring for these films to be made, but not me. It definitely feels too soon.

And yeah, wtf, John Woo? His only good American film is Face/Off. And ENOUGH with the fucking -- doves, I think it is. I'd heard that for MI2 they filmed the action sequences first, then wrote the script around them. I'll buy that, since it was LAME. And the big break-in scene was just a complete (but lesser) copy of the first film. How stupid and unoriginal is that? LOL.

I only just heard they were making a 9-11 movie a few days ago...but I don't know anything else about it. I'm kinda torn how I feel...we forget really fast, so maybe it isn't a bad thing.

And whatever about Josh...you don't get infliction and tone when reading the written word. I'm sure he was just being himself and his wife is most likely comfortable with it anyways.

Delete Josh icons...you're too funny! What would I have left?

Apr. 19th, 2006 01:25 am (UTC)
They already did a made-for-TV movie about Flight 93, so ... hmmm. It all just feels exploitative. I don't know. They've made movies about the Holocaust and Pearl Harbor (with mixed results). Making a movie about tragedy is just very difficult to do right, especially so soon after the fact.

I'm not mad at Josh. Maybe there was a little eyeroll there, but c'mon, he's a really flirtatious guy and is he leaving his wife? No, he's not. And they seem really devoted to each other. I think he was just joking and being a bit Sawyer-esque. *shrugs*

And what would I have left? Very little! Some Foxy/Jack, some Prison Break, some 24 and a few odds & ends! ;) And ooh, I hope Josh never does anything on a Jude Law or Tom Cruise level -- I want to keep on adoring that man!

Ahhh, thanks for the link. I don't have a problem with the quote. And oddly enough, I'd already read excerpts from this the "Awww, he waited to propse to his wife until he had enough money" part. So how odd that they comes out first and then everyone attacks him over another quote in the same interview.

And now I just need to see the pictures! I'm thrilled he's on the cover of a magazine other than TV Guide! ;)

And as i was saying, I have waaaay more problems with the boneheaded things Evi says in interview because every single time she comes off as this vapid chick who's completely full of herself. :-/
