I'm thinking they're in a hatch that's a series of booby traps. They think they can get out, but it's some kind of maze? Or not! LOL. But it looks like Jack is free, at least. And they're being kept separately, alas? (I guess that's the only way this new love interest of Jack's thing is going to work. *sighs*)
