Lost note

Oops, I am spammy today because I got my DSL back.

Post Every Man For Himself thought: a neighbor showed me his pacemaker scar and it's quite small. Maybe two-three inches long, tops. So maybe that's not quite as farfetched as it seemed.

But the needle through the sternum still makes no sense.

As if you needed further proof that Damon Lindelof is a clueless, smug bastard.

I'm so sick of Damon I could just scream. If I were JJ I'd be pissed off at what he'd done to my show. >:(

I know. :-/ Although I don't think JJ's really such a TV god. He ran Alias into the ground on his own just fine. Let's see, what show that's lasted a few seasons hasn't fallen apart ... 24?

Damon is on my list now.

That is all.

Okay. Now that is all. :P

Agreed. It pains me how they've just gutted the show. *sighs*

I'm starting to agree. I've clung to the hope that Damon & Co. weren't fucking things up, but now I'm hanging on by my fingernails. And my fingernails ain't exactly very long.

It's sad, man.

BUT I LURVE YOOOOU! (Just trying to inject something positive into the conversation. ;D )

They still have their moments, but their attitude bothers me. And when it doesn't bother me, it scares me. I mean, how can they take one of the best shows ever on TV and do this to it? And be so goddamn cheerful about it? S2 man, that's when it all went wrong. :-( Can we keep blaming Tom Cruise?

Little kids with an antfarm and a big magnifying glass on a sunny day. That's what they kind of remind me of now.

Can we keep blaming Tom Cruise?

You can blame Tom Cruise for anything, at least you can in Amber's World. ;)

The needle doesn't make any sense either seeing that probably would have killed him seeing his heart was normal before that.

And a double bluff, do you think they'd do that?? But it really would be conning a con man now wouldn't it.

No, I don't think they really put a pacemaker in there, but it didn't require the gaping wound I thought it did. And what does someone who's 36 or so know about pacemakers?

(The cast is all aging faster than the characters ... yet another dumb aspect about the timeline. :-/)

My brother said they didn't get it through the sternum anyway, there were no dressings there. And he said that pacemakers normally show through the skin, and even if his was weird and didn't, Sawyer's wound wasn't in the proper place.

This is why I hate watching medical stuff with my Mom or brother, they always pick nits. :P

You'd think the writers would at least try to do a little research!
Nov. 1st, 2006 04:13 am (UTC)
WELL, I thought the bucket of cold water Sawyer used to slow his heart rate was bull, but apparently it's a medical fact that splashing cold water on your face is the fastest way to get your heart rate down, so...that's interesting.
Nov. 1st, 2006 05:12 am (UTC)
Aha. I thought running your wrists under cold water was the best way! ;)

(And you're right, that pacemaker "wound" on Sawyer is too low. It should be above his heart.)
