Lost timeline

This is kind of handy. Lost timeline, both pre-island and on the island. Part of a larger web site, Sledgeweb's Lost Stuff. They put the Jack wedding at 2003, Sarah's accident at 2001.

(I actually got to the site via a link on tunefind.com, which helps you track down music from TV shows. I wanted to see if they had a Supernatural section, which they don't.)

OOooo! Very shiny.

Thank you!

Welcome! And ooh, Vamp!Josh. ;) I love that scene.
Jan. 6th, 2007 06:57 pm (UTC)
Me too. :)

Do you watch fanvids at all? There's an Angel-centric vid done to Kid Rock's 'Cowboy' that has the Vamp!Josh scene right in the middle [of the vid, I mean]. I freely admit the inner fangirl always squees when he appears.

Oh and there's a collaborative LJ fic called 'Sharper Kisses' that's Vamp!Sawyer and Vamp!Jack in LA... I'm finding it rather entertaining.

And how's your Saturday going? :D

Wow, vamps are my catnip, LOL. I'd love some links.

(About a year ago, I wrote an Angel/Sawyer fic myself, based on that vamp!Josh scene, except Sawyer's not a vamp in it.)

Saturday is going to be quite dull, housecleaning and the like. I want to catch a matinee of Children of Men, though!

Vampnip? Or maybe not...that's a pretty bad pun.

Hey, I'm all for link sharing; and the Sunnydale Herald just had 'Cowboy' on their Holiday issue...

Ah, here: http://www.sisabet.com/#jossverse

I'm a fan of sisabet's work overall; it's funny and well-edited stuff. 'Cowboy' is one of the few vids I have on my laptop... it's a perfect mental break from writing.

And it's *sharp_kisses* [sorry] located here: http://community.livejournal.com/sharp_kisses/profile

The format here is a little challenging - it's two character journals, swapping the story between 'em- but I dig it, particularly as the more recent entries have had AtS characters show up.

Angel/Sawyer?! Oooooo! *gimme hands* :D

It seems like everyone's going to see 'Children of Men'. I'd forgotten it was coming out. It looks fascinating... I'd love to hear if it lives up to the potential.

Thanks for the links! I'll have to go check those out!

And here's the Angel/Sawyer: End of the Night. My first and only Jossverse fic. ;)

foxxcub saw Children of Men last night and said it was amazing, a new Blade Runner! So I'm very excited to see it! ;)

LOL, is someone doing research? *g*
Jan. 6th, 2007 10:23 pm (UTC)
Not really! I just stumbled across this website by accident. ;)

So...Jack married Sarah, lost Sarah, sent his father back to drinking, flipped out, went to Thailand, came back and assumed his practice again, and then damned his father and wound up in Australia in the course of, at the very most, just under 22 months? On the one hand, small wonder that Jack was acting like a man without any support system at all during 'All the Best Cowboys...'. On the other...are they freaking kidding me? Jack should be sitting on the beach and rocking back and forth.
Jan. 6th, 2007 11:56 pm (UTC)
Well... the intial timeline still made sense up through S1. When they keep shoehorning new things into the backstories (like all that AToTC nonsense, which I choose to ignore!) then it makes everything a lot harder to believe. There's simply too much going on in too short a space of time, even if you push the timeline back a year or so. (Although ... Michael's pre-island life, pretty much one big boring custody battle, eh?)

And hell, based on what's happened on the island in a little over two months, they should all be on the beach, rocking back and forth! Or at each other's throats. Eh, continuity, esp. character and emotional continuity, is definitely not the show's strong point.

sarah_p is the go-to gal for SPN music in that she gave me er, all of it.
Jan. 6th, 2007 11:58 pm (UTC)
Mmm, that icon is beautiful! *licks* Can I ask who made it?

And thank you for the source, hon. I don't want to DL it all, and I've seen lists of all the songs. I just think that SPN should be on the site!

My icon keyword says ckrazy32, though I got it awhile ago, so I don't have a link to the post.

I love that timeline, and it's invaluable for research. But if, and I guess it's a big IF, Sawyer was telling the truth about his age, Kate miscalculated in Confidence Man. She guessed that he was "8 or 9" in 1976, and that's what the timeline is based on. But if he really is, as he says, 35 in Nov. of 2004, then he would've only been 7 when he wrote his letter. That's pitiful. :(
Jan. 8th, 2007 07:40 am (UTC)
I think they may have fudged some of the details, and zeroing in on Jack's particulars seems like an outright guess. As for Sawyer, good sleuthing there. Josh was 35 when the show started, so that would be right. :-( Seven is so very young. I guess we could look up the age of the actor playing young James but the credits only list "Boy," which probably means the boy whose appearance makes Sawyer decide to call off the con. And there's no info on that actor so dead end there, in any case.

The producers are deliberately vague with identifying the specific year most of the time. The more they try to cram into the backstories, the more discrepancies and conflicts pop up. But it's usually the island timeline that is the worst -- they'd all have had nervous breakdowns by now, with everything that's happened in just two and a half months!
