My mind jumps to weird places during Lost - and I was kind of hoping she would be the gay character they had been hinting at because that would be so much more interesting than another female whose story and destiny revolves around a man.
Annnyway - I'm looking forward to next week's episode - and a new poll. I've missed this!
I feel like they're trying too hard with Juliet. I don't like new characters getting so much screentime. I prefer them to be like Alex, on the sidelines, and that way we can wonder about them and still be intrigued without stopping the entire show to focus on them. I not fond of them pushing the Juliet and Jack/Juliet agenda so hard.
But hey, if it works for you, great!

I like Juliet more now, when before she was a bit of a cypher to me. I liked that we got a flashback that explained her without really justifying her, since she was doing so many deeply unethical things long before she came into Benry's orbit.
They completely failed to get me interested in or sympathetic towards Juliet here. If I was supposed to get choked up over her sick sister? Yeah, didn't happen. The only really interesting thing about her story is that it shows they've always had the ability to come and go from the island whenever they choose. Which kind of undermines the whole premise of the show, doesn't it?!
It *is* curious that they're not trying to justify her more shady actions. They're very confident that we're going to hang in there and wait for her to become sympathetic! But then again, they also removed any compelling reason for Kate to blow up her own father. I should be applauding them for not taking the easy road in these cases but it doesn't always end up making that much sense, you know?

Yeah, not wild about this episode. Not as bad as any of that Ana episode (at least Juliet didn't want her own baby, at least!) but WHY THE FUCK IS IT ALWAYS ABOUT BABIES?
