A Very Supernatural Christmas

Am I the only one who flailed over the "A Special Presentation" intro graphic?! I totally remember that! It's HERE, I think, among several other TV logos from the '70s and '80s.

And aww, an ep that can make laugh REALLY hard (the boys forced to carol, ha!) and Bad!Santa taking the cookie, and also sniffle over it being Dean's last Christmas and all. We know that won't happen! (Why do I think/hope that Bela will end up being instrumental in stopping that...? I guess because I'd rather see more of her than Ruby. Still, nice to have a chick-free ep, yes? ;D)

This reminded me of the fairy tale ep, with the super happy/super creepy older folks slaying people. (And wasn't that an ep of Buffy as well, with the old guy out to sacrifice ... um, Dawn? *forgets*)

And OUCH for Sammy's fingernail. It's gonna take a year for that to grow back! Those boys must be a mass of scars by now!

So yes, a very good episode!

And a big, fat, happy birthday to holycitygirl! Hope it was a good one!

Such an awesome episode. I was completely unspoiled for it which was nice but also a little weird.

The caroling made me lol so hard, I just couldn't help it.
Sam saying he couldn't do Christmas because it would be Dean's last broke me, as did the giving of Christmas gifts (both with the older boys and the wee!chesters)

Eugh, I couldn't look at the screen when the lady pulled off Sam's fingernail. That was so horrible. For a moment I thought they were actually going to take one of Dean's teeth and I almost cried. i can't look at stuff like that.

Yes, there was a Buffy episode like that. I think it was the same one where Anya tells the gang that Santa is real, he's just kind of evil. I thought of that when "Santa" killed the first guy and I lol'ed a bit ;)

I was also unspoiled! It's the way to go! I don't even watch the previews, usually, so it's very fun watching it and having next to now idea what's going to happen. Refreshing!

And god, the caroling still makes me laugh, even the day later. Priceless!

And the Buffy ep I was thinking of was the one where Dawn and some other kids go trick or treating and end up at what seems like a kind old man's house, but he's really evil. Of course! SPN doesn't have the patent on cutesy older folks being evil but they do get a lot of mileage out of it!
