Heath Ledger Dead

God, please tell me this isn't true! O__O

My sister just called me with the news and I swear at first she'd said "Keith Richards is dead."

Wow. Just. Wow.

ETA: OMG, it was Mary-Kate Olsen's apartment?!. No, it wasn't.

This is insane and terrible. Other people have said it before - the first thing this made me think of was River Pheonix. this seems so different... more tragic, I guess. But the news knocked the wind out of me in the same way.

Oh man, I still get sad thinking of River and now this just kills me. GAH. I have to stop watching it on the news at some point but I still can't believe it.

:(
This is so heartbreaking...
My friend texted us and told me... My eyes started tearing.
Me and My friend always pretended to be Jack and Ennis too, and I was Ennis... I loved Heath so much. *cries*

So incredibly sad. :-( I don't know if I can stand to watch BBM again. At least not for a long time.

Ya... I know what you mean.
I actually kind of want to watch all his favorite movies of mine, as an honor type of thing.
Like... The Patriot, 10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback, A Knights Tale... But I'll spend the whole time crying most likely. :(

I just got up, opened Y!News, & there was the headline staring at me. And my 1st thought was, how the hell did someone manage to hack Y!N for this prank?! Still shocked...big loss all around.

I heard about it when I got home, I was too busy in work to go on line by the end of the day..seriously, I don't know what is sadder, that he was so young, or that he had a child that will grow up with out him.

It's a very sad situation.

It's incredibly sad. Every time I see the headline on Yahoo news, I'm shocked all over again. :–(

This sounds completely off topic, but really it's not..

I was talking with my sister today about those pictures of Tom Brady and how people actually think it's a ruse..like he'd do something like that--he totally wouldn't, and my sister comes out with.."you know, maybe he could have said, 'hi guys' to them that way they'd leave him alone."

I said, "These are the same people who took pictures of Heath Ledger's body being removed from his apartment, I wouldn't pee on them if they were on fire."

There were actually people scrambling to get pics of that, not like that is new, they've done that to everyone, but it never ever ceases to amaze me how nasty and tasteless that is to do. It's like..do these people have families? How would they like having someone do that to their father..or their mother.

I agree, asking nice would do nothing. Those paparazzi sicken me and yet those photos of Heath's body are all over the news... but you know what's almost worse? I tuned into E.T., expecting a nice tribute and instead they showed literally two minutes about Heath and then switched to an "exclusive" about that sleazy photographer who's been dating Britney. UGH. It's just so slimy and exploitative, that guy and that they're interviewing him --- I don't know where to begin.

It is the most unspeakably awful news :( I didn't know the guy, but I find myself wanting to cry about it anyway. Still, what I feel is nothing to what his family feel. He was a superb talent, and it's a sad waste of both of talent and of a human life.

I find all the speculation and internet bitching that's going on to be insensitive, ignorant and verging on inhuman. The manner of his death is not what's important in my mind. He is dead and he leaves behind a family and friends and that is a tragedy whatever the circumstances.

*steps off soapbox*

I'm sorry I don't comment in ages and then, bang, I rant at you all at once.

Lol, Fi.

It's just unbelievably sad. :-( People always speculate, even when all the facts aren't in. I can only imagine how devastated his family must be.

And hey, no problem. Glad to hear from you, even if it's a sad occasion.

I wasn't a huge huge fan or anything, but I did really like him in 10 Things I Hate About You and in Cassanova...those may actually be the only things I ever saw him in, now that I think of it. But it's so sad. He was younger than me, he had a little girl younger than mine and it was apparently because he couldn't get any sleep and accidently od'd on sleeping pills. Been there. That sucks. There's nothing else to be said. It just fucking sucks.

It's so sad. It seems accidental but either way, he's gone and I guess it doesn't matter, in a way. :-( It is scary if it's that easy to O.D. Glad you're still around. *hugs*
