Introducing ... THE LOST LIST

Well, I did it. I started yet another Lost comm. Here it is: thelostlist.

ETA: I think I've hit on the solution. Of course, it is after midnight and it may not seem so brilliant in the morning, but here's the general idea.

What I'd like it to be is THE go-to place for Lost fic, an archive of great fics, not just about Jack/Sawyer (which of course, we love) but where readers can quickly find fics by character or theme.

But I'm not sure how we should do this. Have people sign up to be an "expert" on each character and then come up with, say, 5-10 fics on that character? Free-for-all? Master posts where people comment with, say, favorite Driveshaft fics? Or some magical combo? One of the key components that will set it apart from other rec comms is that yes, people will be able to submit their own fics. What do you think?

How should we do this thing? (Check as many as you like):

People volunteer to be experts on a character and compile a comprehensive list of fic
0(0.0%)
Anyone can submit fic to a master post on that theme
3(20.0%)
People post as often as they see fit - everything is organized by tags
0(0.0%)
People can make requests, such as "Genderswap" fic or whatever.
0(0.0%)
Some other brilliant approach, which I shall explain in comments

Great! I think it would be possible to combine number one and two. Have someone be active in collecting fics per topic and accept submissions. The goal could be to start with maybe the basics - fics for the regular characters which maybe include a division into slash, het and gen. Once there is a foundation, you could always open it up to requests for a specific theme or more minor characters.

Yay!
