Lost: Namaste

I wasn't able to watch Lost until just now and I know I'm waaaaay behind everyone else's discussion of it.

I confess to being disappointed. At least, the Jack/Sawyer fangirl in me is. Why is Sawyer so mad at Jack? That doesn't really add up to me. He's all "Yeah, I'm fucking Juliet. And Kate still wants me. And I saved your ass. And now you're a janitor. And oh, yeah, don't call me James." And let's not forget: "You sucked as a leader and I'm the bomb-diggity. How you like them apples?"

Might it not be a good time for Jack to mention that they came back because they thought everyone on the island was in danger? Are they just going to skip that little plot point? You'd think that Kate and Jack at least would be "Um... so, where's the emergency?" Unless it's to save them all from the imminent Hostile attack.

Jack, Kate and Hurley's hair fits in very, very well into 1977. As does Sayid's actually. It's multi-decade appropriate! Wonder how they'll deal with that whole situation... Next week looks very Confidence Man-like.

And I think that's all I got. I'd rather not have to deal with new cast members. Hoping their screen time will be very brief. Hmmm.

Wow, I didn't realize you felt that way about Jack. I don't get that scene at all. The fact that Jack fails to mention why the O6 came back and Sawyer's sudden devotion to Locke, of all people, makes no sense to me whatsoever. Wasn't Sawyer waiting for the 06 to come back?

I am so over these new characters. Been there, done that, buried them.

I thought you knew I wasn't a big Jack fan. :) I don't hate him but I don't care for him either. The Jack on the show, not fic. ;-)

That scene started off just fine. Sawyer offers him a seat and a beer. It goes south when Jack judges Sawyer for sitting around reading a book looking like he's not doing anything. He's still stuck in his preconceived notions about Sawyer. And it didn't help he had to bring up the "I got us off the island." I was really waiting for Sawyer to say, "Well, you left behind about 25 people. What's up with that?"

It's a good thing Jack didn't mention why the 6 came back or he'd have to explain why not one of them in the entire 3 years they were away didn't lift one finger to find their friends left behind. Awwwwkward!

I'm with you with the Locke thing. *scratches head* I don't think it's devotion, per se. I think it's probably more along the lines of Locke seemed to know a way to set things straight again and stop the time tripping, so he went along with him. Idk, my fanwanking is not up to par. :)

Yeah, Jack was single-handedly responsible for a random 6 people getting off the island ... right. Agreed, that claim is baseless, especially since he didn't rescue everyone. Oh, the whole thing is making my head hurt. I was looking forward to having them in the same scene again and this was just a major disappointment. I don't know why they need conflict for conflict's sake between these two. I call major BS.

I don't get why they didn't discuss how and why the O6 came back or the whole time shift thing.... did the O6 even know about the time traveling at all? That's a discussion that might be worth having!

Lol, me too. I anticipate more angst and headbutting for those two. :)

I don't think anyone has had time to talk about anything. It's their first night there and people are watching the new recruits like a hawk. Did you notice how curious Phil was about Jack going to visit "Jim?"
