O__o Wow, I hope this isn't true.

A woman is suing ABC and 'Lost' actor Henry Ian Cusick, claiming she was sexually harassed and then fired from the hit show.

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― A woman is suing ABC and 'Lost' actor Henry Ian Cusick, claiming she was sexually harassed and then fired from the hit show.

The woman filed the lawsuit on Friday in Los Angeles, alleging Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on the show, fondled her buttocks and breasts and kissed her on the lips in October 2007. The lawsuit claims she reported the incident to her supervisor, but was simply told to avoid the actor. She states she was fired 12 days later in retaliation for reporting the alleged abuse.

The filing states the woman worked for ABC since 1997. She claims she suffered physical sickness, emotional distress and a miscarriage after the incident.

The lawsuit does not state how much she is seeking.

And hey, I watched SPN last night. I was as leery of the idea as anyone but I think they pulled it off. And yeah, I did suspect that ... oh crap, I've already forgotten the brother's name, was not what he seemed. Because where else could they go with that?

I'm going to have to see X-Men Origins. Even though Josh isn't in it.

I'm reserving judgment until there's more information - well, sort of, anyway. Miscarriage has many causes, but emotional distress isn't one of them - there would be a lot more miscarriages if it were. (Correlation, yes; causation, definitely not.) That's not going to be admissible as an argument or claim. And while some people understandably don't feel comfortable taking action initially, I'm suspicious of someone who worked says she got fired on a whim after ten years, had a miscarriage because of it, and then happened to find the courage to break her silence just when the economy went to shit.

True, we don't know what happened and sadly people do make up such claims, which I can't begin to understand. I would hate to think it's true but what a nightmare for her if it is! Legal issues seem to take forever, so I don't know about the timeliness of it. It always seems like people are suing movie companies for "stealing" their idea years after the fact and you always wonder if they waited that long to sue.
