Hrm. I just started thinking about early seasons people we haven't seen in a long time. Where is Christian? Wasn't he a big player for a while? Or are we to assume he was Smokey all along? I guess that's it. He tried to kill Jack by getting him to fall off that cliff/hill. He appeared to Locke and had Claire with him. Okay, yeah. That explains it! Makes more sense than Christian having connections to the island before his death.
I'm okay with Walt not coming back. His story seems done, to me. And I haven't heard that he's coming back, but then again, who knows? We need some closure with Vincent, definitely!
