Spoiler icon for True Blood 4.3

Of course, can't believe Sookie did NOTHING to save her.

Yeah, I kept waiting for "Snooki" to zap Eric with her fairy powers and she just stood there. Strange.

This season is feeling a little clunky and bloated (Soooo much going on), but the good storylines are making it worthwhile. And amnesia!eric is cracking me up, especially when he was trying to avoid tracking mud on her rug.

The whole scene played for laughs (amnesia!eric is adorable!) and yet Sookie should have done *something!* Scream, hit Eric... we know she's not afraid to hit him. Maybe she was afraid he'd drink her dry too, but he does seem to be obeying her very well, so that just makes no sense.

Which part of the season isn't working for you? I'm not fond of the Jason storyline. Damn hillbilly panthers! Not that Jason deserves a nice, drama-free life, but I could do without this crisis. And it means we'll be stuck with Crystal forever? *sadface*

I think Jason is getting gang-raped, which I find incredibly disturbing given how young some of those hillbillies are. I really thought this was a Crystal only thing, but apparently, he's there to knock everyone up. Ugh. Also, it seems that they did a 160 on Crystal from last season. I mean, she wasn't perfect or anything, but I don't remember her wanting to be with her half-brother or wanting to be knocked up with "cubs" (And I shudder again...). I really disliked Jason and Crystal last year too. The Russell storyline and everyone involved in that were so much more interesting that I hated it when they moved back to Sam or Jason.

Also, Jason is just so innocent(ish) and kinda dumb and funny - and human! - that I kind of dread this whole storyline. His stuff has bored me off and on every season and yet, not sure if this is the way to go to improve my views. I would have liked to see him as the responsible cop more than anything for a while.

Ummm...let's see...not feeling the Andy addiction thing. We did v addiction in S2. Not feeling the Tommy plotline. At all. I'm over him at this point. I like Jess and Hoyt, but they keep doing this will they/won't they live happily ever after with their love story and it's getting on my nerves. It's a not-as-good retread of last season really only now there is a creepy doll involved. I did like how she put the wham-glam on him after revealing she cheated and the fact that she gave the doll to the evil baby, but meh. I like them in love and Jessica being a bad ass. The fighting is obnoxious to me at this point. Break them up or make it work!

I am liking Sam more now with his shifter friends (Thank God, his story last season was sooo bad). I think Luna is really interesting with the skin-walker thing too and I'm curious to see how Sam earns those powers (By killing Tommy, I hope). Always liked Tara so no problems with her stuff. Always liked Lafayette, but Jesus...kinda on the fence with him this season. Witches are okay. I like Bill as the king and away from Sookie for now. Their relationship needed a breather after last season. I'm glad Ball didn't immediately stick them back together like he always does.

Alacide and Debbie...well, I'm fine with them being back, but let's just say I'm glad Eric is not going to be living with them. I am loving the way he's antagonizing Sookie right now so he needs to stay put.

I'm happy on the whole, but I think they are a little bloated right now cast wise. They need to kill some people off, trim back, and focus on a few major plots only next season I think.

That would be a 180, not a 160 (Somehow crossed 180 with 360 hahah).

Now that you list it all, that IS a lot for S4! They are juggling them so they're not all in one ep (like Sam's shifting group wasn't really in this ep), but you're right, I'm not in love with them all.

Not pleased to see Debbie again. Yeeesh, I'd never take her back but with Alcide off the market, that leaves Sookie completely free to get with Eric. And OMG, is this the Eric/Sookie season or what?

Sam's storyline last year was total crap. I do not get why he shot Tommy, tbh. Tommy, I don't hate, partly because of residual fondness for his character on Prison Break. But he is a little shit, isn't he?

Poor, poor Jason. He's an idiot who makes very bad decisions but he was finally doing something decent and doing a decent job at it and now this? Very creepy. I never liked Crystal and this just got way more disturbing!

Jessica and Hoyt's fights are getting tiresome. It's like, figure out the ground rules: Hoyt, shop for your own food. Then again, would it kill Jessica to buy some frozen pizzas or something to have on hand? I somehow missed they'd given the evil doll to the devil child! Ha!

I've never liked Andy but him being addicted to V is not very compelling, agreed.

Are you liking Lafayette with Jesus? I still think of him as Nate from Southland, so it's a bit hard to get my head around it, LOL. The witch coven is as full of B.S. in their own way as Amy (Miss "Tiny Carbon Footprint"). I felt bad for Jason when she was killed, but yeah, she was a psycho. And a pretentious one at that!

Debbie has to be somewhat angry at Sookie still though for killing the incredibly sexy Grant Bowler (I refuse to call him Cooter hahah). I'm putting money on the fact that she'll strike at some point. And didn't Sookie jack Debbie's face up Joker style last season? I could have sworn...

Anyway, that's the only reason I'm kind of interested in seeing Debbie again. Alacide to me has little chemistry with Sookie, so I'm not an Alacide/Sookie shipper, but it's always nice to see him again.

I liked Tommy (Mostly) last season and felt pretty sorry for him. But I think they've dropped the ball on making him a sympathetic character after what happened between him and Sam. Making him go straight back to grifting people is just making me think of the worst aspects of S3. I don't want to retread that plotline and I really, really, really don't want Sam sucked back into that crappy arc. If they can keep Sam out of it (Doubtful), I'll be happy.

The only time I really enjoyed Andy was in S2 and the whole pig thing. No spoilers though! ;-)

I don't know about Jesus and Lafayette. I think the big problem is Jesus isn't really that interesting. If it's revealed that he has some darker motive for getting Lafayette into the coven, I could like that. Or he has some kind of really interesting backstory or something happens to him in the circle that causes him to be possessed. He's just so...bland. I need more!

I'm really looking forward to more Eric and Sookie Adventures in Babysitting next week more than anything. It's definitely my A plotline so far this season. Something has to fill Russell's void!

I know! Sookie is no pushover! Even if she's scared that Eric would start feeding on her next, she'd do *something.* Bad writing. (But because Eric was so sheepish, and the line was so funny, I had to laugh. Sorry, Claudine!)
