I have this bad feeling LOST and the cast are going to get snubbed. :(

Bad feelings go away. lol

Well, the Emmys took forever to recognize The X-Files and The Sopranos and don't get me started on Buffy! (keeps fingers crossed for Foxy and Terry O'Quinn, at least).

That fourth pic of Foxy? Awwww, Foxy, don't cry!!! No cry. You break me when you cry like that!!

Sigh. Pretty pics. Love them all. I <3 Foxy and Josh.

I know! No one can resist the Foxy ManCry (tm crystalkirk). I certainly can't. (Goes to hug him for a really, really inappropriately long time).
Jul. 14th, 2005 03:45 am (UTC)
Of all the pretty piccies, I think I like Foxy's "Are you fucking joking me?" look. Hee.
Jul. 14th, 2005 05:52 am (UTC)
Hee. And it was totally directed at Sawyer, too. ;-D Those boys just aggravate each other so much.

In addition to the LOST cast, if Lauren Graham gets overlooked ONE MORE YEAR for her fantastic performance in Gilmore Girls, I will SHOOT SOMEONE!

Ahem. *Smiles innocently*

(speaking slowly and carefully) put the gun down and no one gets hurt!

Well, Emmy voters are notoriously make boring choices. (If West Wing is nominated again, I swear I'll get out MY gun!) It's the Golden Globe folks who are hip!

(If West Wing is nominated again, I swear I'll get out MY gun!)

I don't believe I've heard words I agreed with more today.

I never thought that show was anything to crow about, to be honest.

*Points to the DoNotFuckWithMe Crichton icon, glares at the Emmy voters*

Yeah, I never liked it. Just too talky and BORING. Bleah. Not my scene at all. But then I'm not remotely a political junkie.

And man, I really hate Six Feet Under anymore, too. It used to be good but it got so damn whiny. I gave up HBO and have never looked back! Not when network (and basic cable) is this good!
Jul. 14th, 2005 04:45 am (UTC)
Aw, now look what you made me do with the purdy pics.

Jul. 14th, 2005 05:29 am (UTC)
Oooh, nice! (snags it!)
Jul. 14th, 2005 04:46 am (UTC)
Awww, and you even put my favorite pilot!Sawyer cap!! :D

*crosses fingers with you*
Jul. 14th, 2005 05:30 am (UTC)
;-D pleasepleaseplease! Terry O'Quinn at least, man! And Foxy! Josh, I fear is too sexy to make the cut as we've discussed before. *sigh*
Jul. 14th, 2005 07:51 am (UTC)
Aww, yay! I strangely feel the urge to watch the nom announcement via the live webcast, as if that would make everyone I want to get nommed actually be nommed by my sheer will. Heh.

I think Lost will do just fine, as a whole. I'm not holding out on Josh Holloway getting a nom though, even if he totally deserves one. I saw the supporting male list and whoa was it ever over-stuffed. Terry O'Quinn probably has a better chance this time around. Especially since they didn't send any of Sawyer's eps in for the other categories - like writing or directing. Which is weird choice, since they sent a ton, are his two are some of the best they did last year.

Off-topic of Lost, but still on the Emmys, I'm hoping, no praying, that John C. McGinley will finally get his way, way overdue nom for Scrubs this year. The way the sitcom world was in shambles this year, if he doesn't get one now, he never will and that's just insane. I hate that they can't see outside of the box and get onboard with how talented and wonderful that cast and show is. I actually have my hopes up this year, since "Garden State" brought lots of positive attention to Zach. Hopefully some of that will bleed over to Scrubs as well.
Jul. 14th, 2005 09:45 am (UTC)
I honestly think Josh is too much of a sex symbol now - all those TV Guide covers, People's Sexiest list - to be considered a serious actor. Sigh. I do think Terry O'Quinn has the best shot at a nod. Foxy has never been nominated before, which is a crime, considering all that world-class ManCrying he's been up to! And say, how weird would it be if only Evi (as I'm told she likes to spell her name) were nommed?!

As far as other shows - you mean there are other shows on besides Lost?! - I always love Victor Garber and Ron Rifkin over on Alias, even if I *still* haven't watched the last few episodes. Kiefer seems like a shoo-in and it would be a kick if Mary Ellen Rajskub from 24 got nommed.;-D I'm sure Hugh Laurie will be on the list and may even win.

There really isn't anyone else I'm rooting for this year. I missed most of The Shield but I'm always happy to see them get some love.

I don't watch any comedies so no favorites there but McGinley deserves a nod if just retroactively for "Office Space." ;-)
Jul. 14th, 2005 10:25 am (UTC)
That could very well be true, which is sucky, 'cause he's very talented. I'm not shy to admit that in the beginning I thought he might be one of the weaker links, but as soon as he actually had stuff to do, he got to show off his acting chops.

Foxy is a shoo-in, in my opinion. Him and Hugh Laurie are the two I'll be shocked and dismayed if they're snubbed. They were awesome this year. Keifer does seem like a lock as well. (Then there's people from shows like Deadwood, that I don't watch, but I assume will make the list too.) I'd like to see Denis Leary pick up one too, but I don't know the odds on that. The drama categories are just so over popluated this year with talent.

If Evangeline picks up a nom, I'm done with ever trying to take the Emmys seriously. That would be sheer insanity. Yunjin? Now, that I could totally get behind. She acts circles around Evangline.

McGinley is insanely talented. On Scrubs he's hilarious one moment, and can turn on a dime and be breathtaking with his ability to do the serious and heartbreaking. He's been robbed for years, for his portrayal as Dr. Cox. So help me God if Sean Hayes picks up another nom this year, and John C. is snubbed yet again. Will & Grace is past its prime, and the characters are just caricatures of what they used to be. Though, I'm sort of rooting for Peter Boyle too. Sure, he's been nommed a million times, but everybody else from ELR has won, repeatedly, and he never has. That's just not right.

Two hours to go (that is the time difference, I think, lmfao) and we'll know. Heh.
Jul. 14th, 2005 10:33 am (UTC)
(waves from no-sleep land)
Yeah, 2 hours -- whee!

Foxy a shoo-in? That would be sweet. I certainly hope so. Lost is too huge to ignore - doncha think? It's not some little cult show like so many of my past favorites and it's on A frickin' BC, so people have to have seen it!

I'm not saying Evi *should* be nommed. She's done well here and there but nothing compared to the rest of the cast. Yunjin is awesome. It would be sweet if she got in there.

Will & Grace is very tired but that's never stopped Emmy voters before - look at their bizarre love affair with the dead horse that is The West Wing, a show I've never liked anyway.

So right about now or in an hour or so, lots of stars and their publicists and the network execs are all up and buzzing with anticipation. As are lotsa reporters. At least the traffic this time of day in LA is a breeze! ;-D

LOL *waves back* Hee!

Does any of the TV stations carry the announcement live? I thought E! might or something, but I couldn't seem to find any info.

Lost has been plastered everywhere this year, with Foxy front and center, so I've been counting him as a lock for a while now. I'll be a little shocked if he doesn't get the nod. (Not as shocked as I'd be if Laurie doesn't though, he is like THE lock this year. Which I do agree with. I was mesmerized by him.)

I think Evi's acting isn't good enough yet, she's just so green still. I'm not saying she won't grow into her part, but to me, her acting just isn't anywhere near good enough to award yet.

Guh, I know. They're constantly beating dead horses. I've never been into TWW either, so I'm so sick of them not only being nommed, but winning every damn year. So tiresome.

LOL, I bet they are. It always cracks me up when actors who are nommed make the interview circuits and are all, "A phone call from me (uncle, cousin, pool boy, etc) woke me up to tell me. I had no idea!" As freakin' if. If they think they have a shot in hell at a nom, I bet 99% of them are up itching to hear. Heh.

ooo-ooo! A Foxy/Josh picspam. Love it! :D
Fox has turned in some incredible performances this season. Absolutely incredible.

*keeping fingers crossed for emmy nods for both*
Jul. 14th, 2005 09:47 am (UTC)
I do think Foxy has a better chance at the brass ring this year and he certainly deserves it! (Not that Josh doesn't but 1. he's new to this and 2. he's got that sex symbol status to contend with.) Hope to hear good news in the morning! Well, *later* this morning. ;-D
Jul. 14th, 2005 12:37 pm (UTC)
Oh what a wonderful way to start the day..we have Sawyer angst and layers (and you know that badboy has layers) and emotional!Jack, and not to forget giggling!Jack (one of my personal favorites)

I just hope that this show isn't too much of a hit to get overlooked, sometimes there is a backlash because of that.
Jul. 14th, 2005 05:50 pm (UTC)
Very welcome. I just wish we'd had more luck with the actual noms. Oh well. I'm used to the shows I love being ignored by the Emmys. *grumbles*
